South Africa vs England Day 3 2nd Test Highlights | Durban
Watch cricket highlights: South Africa vs England Day 3 of the 2nd Test at Durban played on December 28, 2009.
It can be a painful experience watching someone get into run-scoring form especially if you strongly dislike them. But you’ve got to hand it to Cook, leaving all those deliveries outside off, over and over and over again knowing that Harris was around the corner.
Good to watch Bell back in the lineup – one of those few players who are very watchable even if they’re not scoring.

Pakistan vs Australia 1st Test Day 3 Highlights | Melbourne
Watch cricket highlights: Pakistan vs Australia Day 3 of the 1st Test played at the MCG on December 28, 2009.
Pakistan 258 all out: Umar Akmal 51, Misbah 65 no | Bollinger Johnson 3 each, Siddle 2
Aus 111/3 Shane Watson 64 no
There are plenty of touring players who’ve got bigger scores and hundreds in Australia, but the Umar Akmal knock will dwarf several of them for its sheer entertainment value, something that was evenly matched by the other young sensation of the year, Aamer, while truly entering this series only today.
What’s wrong with Watson – doesn’t he think people need a breather from an exhibition of batting aesthetics that he unendingly keeps pulling out?

Queensland 121/6 in 16 overs | Hastings 3
Victoria win by 3 runs (D/L method) which possibly explains the sneaky smile on Dirk Nannes’ face right at the end after he feigned a failed run-up. Queensland would later protest the Hastings acrobatic save, but Victoria it is in the opener of the Big Bash.

Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test Highlights Day 2 | Melbourne
Watch cricket highlights: Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test, Day 2 from the MCG played on December 27, 2009.
Scoreline: Aus 454/5 declared. Pakistan 109/4 Salman Butt 45
With the number of times the lack of Aussie centuries is mentioned on air, it’s become hard to ignore it. For a while Hauritz looked like he might do what Kumble did at Lord’s after the Indian batsmen kept failing to get a hundred.
Fantastic declaration by Ponting – can think of several other captains who’d have batted on and on with batsmen like Haddin and Johnson to come, under the pretext of we want to bat just once this match. The commentators seemed smug that the Aussie bowlers were able to reverseswing it in contrast to the Pakistani bowlers, which though a hindsight thought, reinforces the perplexing absence of Umar Gul.
With Umar Akmal around and Kamran to come, whatever the outcome, the morning session tomorrow is going to be highly entertaining. In the meantime, Warne has been in Smith’s ear. Nice.

Eng 103/1 Andrew Strauss 54
The play was divided into phases with individuals taking down each phase of play: Boucher-AB-Steyn-Strauss. What was Smith thinking while Strauss was doing his thing – Agreed the bowling was good, but what was I doing yesterday? – perhaps.
